Studio Payment Policy

Junior & Youth

Group Classes

• Each student must have a Spotlight DanceSport Center account with a credit card on file.
• All group class monthly payments are due before the 1st day of the month in the form of a check, cash or credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover only).
• If the full amount of the tuition is not paid by the 1st day of each month, the credit card on file will be automatically charged.
• If a student is planning to skip classes for a period of time, then you may freeze your membership by notifying the front desk with a written note by the 25th day of the previous month.  Otherwise the credit card on file will be charged.
• Tuition is non-refundable.
• Full payment is due regardless of holidays or missed classes. The Studio will be closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day-Weekend, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year Eve and Day, and Memorial Day.  Classes canceled by the studio due to inclement weather will be rescheduled. Notification on our Facebook page and answering machine message will provide information about cancellations during inclement weather.
• A $20 fee will be charged for bounced checks.
• Make-up classes may be available pending schedule availability.

Private Lessons

1. A credit card on file is required in order to book a private lesson.
2. All private lessons are subject to our 8 hour cancellation policy.  The student will be charged for a missed lesson unless the studio is notified 8 hours in advance.
3. All private lessons must be pre-paid.  If payment has not been received prior to or on the day of the lesson, the credit card on file will be charged automatically.
4. If taking a semi-private lesson (2 or more people) and one person cancels in less than 8 hours of the appointment, the student sharing this lesson is still responsible for their part.
5. Lessons are valid for one year from the date of purchase and are transferable to another student.
6. Private Lessons are non-refundable.

Showcase Costumes

1. Once costumes are ordered, there are no refunds or size changes.
2. Any alterations needed are the parent’s responsibility.
3. All tuition accounts must be up to date to order costumes.

Competitions

1. All competition payments must be paid in full before the date deadline. If they are not paid in full, the student’s registration will not be submitted to the competition organizer.
2. For singles: Any recalls at the competition event will have an additional charge per dance after the competition. This situation will only occur for single’s dancers whose event starts with a semi-final, quarter-final, or first round.  For every additional dance in the rounds following the first round, the payment will be $10.00. The over-night trip expense for their amateur partner will be divided up evenly between all of the singles dancers.

Adult Classes

Group Classes

1. Adult dance classes and programs are either offered on a drop-in basis (start any time), or a membership basis (for a particular period of time).
2. Payments are non-refundable.
3. The Studio will be closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day-Weekend, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year Eve and Day, Memorial Day, July1st-August 15th. Classes canceled by the studio due to inclement weather will be rescheduled. Notification on our Facebook page and answering machine message will provide information about cancellations during inclement weather.

Wedding Lessons

1. All private lessons are subject to our 8 hour cancellation policy.  The student will be charged for a missed lesson unless the studio is notified 8 hours in advance.
2. All sales are final and are non-refundable. Exceptions for refunds: physically unable to continue due to injury or illness or have moved more than 30 miles from the studio.
3. In case of a partial refund, the cost of all the lessons will be recalculated at the regular rate, not the discounted rate.
4. Lessons are valid for one year from the date of purchase and are transferrable to another student.
